i had this talk with my grandma in the afternoon

and she was rambling about how youngsters nowadays are always wearing black

so unlucky and what crap

i mean

WHAT IS HELL WRONG WITH WEARING BLACK!?!?

she was nagging on about how wearing black symbolizes the death of your parents etc etc

oh come on

it is the 21 century for god sake

why are they still people who are sensitive to the colors of wear?

you want us to walk out looking like ANG PAOS meh?

imagine,

you walk on the streets 

and you see this auntie wearing BRIGHT RED

with BRIGHT RED hair

and BRIGHT RED CROCS!

lucky enough or not?

Singapore is a country of  many western influences

and black is a color of formality in the western culture

so how?

fusion ah

and i told that to my grandma

and she was like 

WHY MUST BLACK?

CANNOT YELLOW AH

i will look like ronald macdonald's daughter man

can we throw away these kind of superstitions?

i don't mean to be rude to my grandma or to be disrespectful,

but why are you all so afraid of the color black?

scared of death meh?

why be so superstitious and live your life in fear?

not that all superstitions are bad

just that we should know what to believe and what to not believe

if people say cannot open umbrella under a roof or else you will not grow tall,

you will not open it ever in your house?

ridiculous

i know i may offend people with this post

but i just want to have my freedom when it comes to my choice of fashion
